Scotlandville Magnet High School recently hosted a 5K Gumbo Run and Walk. To add a twist, a hearty serving of gumbo was served. Principal Paul Jackson shares that this event was not just about breaking a sweat but an opportunity to support the school. “The 5K Gumbo Run and Walk is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of community spirit and a commitment to enhancing education,” he says. All ages came to join in this community-wide event. After the race, awards were offered to the highest-performing individuals.
