Catholic High School Announces National Merit Finalists

Catholic High School is proud to announce that 11 CHS seniors have been named National Merit Scholarship Finalists for 2023. The students are as follows: Bennett Castro, Ryan Cedel, William Creech, Everett deBlieux, Peyton LeBlanc, Edward “Carter” Mayeux, André Miller, Kyle Oubre, Joseph Peak, Sidney Scheumack, and Nicholas Schroeder. They will continue on in the competition for more than 7,200 scholarships, adding up to nearly $28 million. To be considered as a National Merit Finalist, students must submit an application about their academic records, participation in school and community activities, leadership skills, employment, honors, and awards.
