Brighton Participates in Map It Clean! Program

The Brighton School was selected to participate in the Map It Clean! Program. This program, which is a partnership with Clean Pelican’s Education Program and the Global Geospatial Institute (GGI), is funded by Keep Louisiana Beautiful. Map It Clean! is a litter awareness program that teaches students prevention, and at the same time, teaches a state-of-the-art “STEAM” skill, GIS, for litter abatement. Brighton School students have already partaken in five lessons, a litter cleanup, and participated in activities for the international celebration of GIS Day back in November. Students will soon take part in the second half of the program.
