Along the Mississippi River, area high schoolers participated in the “Explore Maritime Careers” event at LASM. Students, including groups from McKinley, Tara, and Istrouma, engaged with professionals to learn about maritime career opportunities, supply chain management, maritime law enforcement, safety, and the important role of the Mississippi River in the Louisiana region. Open Waters Louisiana sponsored the event in partnership with Inland River Ports and Terminals, Shamrock Marine, LASM, and the Coastal Protection Restoration Authority.
