It’s time to lace up your running shoes, and get ready for the Louisiana Marathon on Saturday, January 13. The race will begin at the Louisiana State Capitol, where marathon runners will run a fast, flat, and friendly path through the lakes, along the river, around the university campus, and throughout historic neighborhoods. Runners of all skill levels are encouraged to sign up and participate in any of the five races: Marathon (26.2 miles), Half Marathon (13.1 miles), Louisiana Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles), Louisiana Marathon 5K (3.1 miles) and a Blue Cross & Blue Shield Kids Marathon (1 mile).
