The big “blue bus” is making waves in EBR. Recently, the Baton Rouge Children’s Health Project Mobile Medical Unit from Our Lady of the Lake, stopped by Woodlawn Elementary School to teach students about germ prevention, and effective ways to prevent upper respiratory infections and the flu. Students were taught to wash their hands by singing the “Happy Birthday” song twice, or for at least 30 seconds. The informative sessions ended with a visit to Our Lady of the Lake Health Centers in Schools mobile unit.
