Ten Local Students Awarded Health Fellows Scholarship

The Baton Rouge Clinic awarded $50,000 to 10 Baton Rouge students pursuing careers in healthcare for its third annual Health Fellows Scholarship. This program aims to expand medical career opportunities for diverse students by building an equitable workforce that assists them in pursuing higher education. The finalists were chosen from the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition, which serves under-resourced students in Baton Rouge. The following high school seniors, college students, and graduates were selected: Alexis Rogers, Kaydence Bradford, Nadia Caesar, and Nyla Caesar, (Liberty Magnet High School); Asiah Thomas and Mia Peters (McKinley Senior High School); and Jasmine Terrell and Tyron Lucas (Zachary High School ‘20).
