Sheriff Webre awarded four outstanding young men and women with scholarships to help further their education: Seth Amedee from Dutchtown High, who won the Dawn Shivers Memorial Scholarship; A’laysia Steib from East Ascension High School, who won the Sheriff Scholarship; Cory Bourdreaux (represented by family) from East Ascension High School, who also won the Sheriff Scholarship; and Maria Henderson (not pictured) from Dutchtown High School, who won the LSA Scholarship. Ascension Parish thanks all the incredible students who applied for these scholarships, as the panel of judges read many applications that demonstrate Ascension’s exceptional students.
