Port Allen Girl Releases New Song “I Made It”

A young girl who lives in Port Allen is following her passion for music and sharing her inner poet through the release of her latest debut single. Seven-year-old Jraya Jenkins, a first-grader at Port Allen Elementary, recently released her debut single, “I Made It.” Jraya and her mom, Raven Dunlap, wrote the song after they got back in from a walk around their neighborhood. After returning from the walk, she looked at her mom and said, “It’s a good thing I made it.” After she and her mom finished writing the song, Jraya headed to Well Developed Studios in Plaquemine to record her very first single–which can be found on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. A natural performer, Jraya dreams of landing on the big stage one day.
