PBS Bulahbots Create Two Robots and Win Runner Up

Parkview Baptist’s Robotics Team, the Bulahbots, recently competed in the Dow Red Stick Rumble. This off-season competition allows for a second robot and a quicker competition format. Of the two robots entered into the competition, one was built specifically for the event, “Lightning McQueen,” and featured the ability to move in any direction and spin. The second robot in the competition was named “Leviathan” and made it to the final matchup, winning runner up. BulahBots was established in 2011 by Shawn Liner, who is still the head coach. The team started off as Raptor Robotics and was rebranded by one of the students as BulahBots. The first eight years of BulahBots’ build seasons were spent in a classroom-sized space. Now, they have the BotCave, a dedicated space with separate rooms for building, discussing, welding, and X-Carve.
