At Sudden Impact, Parkview Baptist students learned the importance of not driving while impaired or distracted. Louisiana State Police and University Medical Center New Orleans joined forces to educate the students with a mock crash and a mock trial in the auditorium. This interactive experience–complete with fake blood–teaches students about the devastating effects of driving while under the influence, distracted, and without a seatbelt. The Sudden Impact Program is a nationally-recognized, award-winning initiative developed by the University Medical Center that aims to educate young drivers about the consequences of reckless driving.
