National Read Across America Day

Every year at the start of March, children across America celebrate National Reading Month. March 2, also known as the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss, is National Read Across America Day. National Read Across America Day has made it a tradition to read Dr. Seuss’s books in honor of his birthday. Some of his most well-known books are Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, and Oh, the Places You Will Go! For National Read Across America Day, children are encouraged to celebrate reading in their classrooms, at home, and at the library It’s an exciting day to motivate children to read more and develop a love of reading.
