Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, Keep Louisiana Beautiful, and Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Executives announced a new initiative, the Clean Biz Partnership, which seeks to involve local businesses in “reducing and preventing litter across the state” through pledges to adopt new anti-litter practices, placing and maintaining trash receptacles and dumpsters near businesses, and helping to promote green spaces. The first 40 businesses that signed up and completed the program requirements qualified to receive $1,000 for their efforts.
