In order to educate our youth about how littering can harm wildlife, Keep Louisiana Beautiful and the State Library of Louisiana are partnering to send 2 copies of Harry the Snakebird, a children’s book inspired by the true story of how two children saved a snakebird’s life, written by Louisiana author Wendy Carbo, to 335 local libraries and 25 bookmobiles. One copy is to be used in library programming while the other is free for visitors to check out. Keep Louisiana Beautiful hopes that this will spur action in youth to develop anti-littering habits and keep our streets, forests, and waterways clean.keeplouisianabeautiful.org
