OLOL Children’s Hospital and Hogs for the Cause joined forces to better serve the families of Baton Rouge by breaking ground for the new Family Support Home, which will serve as on-campus housing for Louisiana families who have a child receiving ongoing care at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. The home will be within walking distance of the hospital and feature 12 suites, a communal dining lounge with a guest kitchen, a laundry area, and plenty of other amenities. To kick off construction, Hogs for the Cause has pledged $2.25 million. They hope that the home will provide families with a place to relax, focus on treatment, and remain positive. ololchildrens.org
