The East Baton Rouge Parish Library announces the promotion of Micki Talbot to the position of Library Public Relations Coordinator.  A native of Walker, Louisiana, Talbot holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University with a focus on literature, writing, and theater. Talbot replaces Kayla Perkins. 

Talbot has previously worked for the Library in both circulation and children’s services at the Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch.  She will be directly responsible for composing, editing and producing the monthly newsletter, The Source, which has a distribution of more than 8,000 each month.  Talbot will also coordinate marketing and promotion of all library programs, services, and resources, and will be directly responsible for ads, press releases, and scheduling media appearances.
