The Dunham School’s volleyball coach Donna Pixley has been named The Advocate Star of Stars Girls Coach of the Year, and senior standout Rhaia Davey was named Star of Stars for volleyball. Dunham’s volleyball team, The Lady Tigers, ended their 2022 season by winning the LHSAA Division II state championship title. Coach Pixley was head volleyball coach for 21 years before announcing her retirement earlier this spring; her teams have advanced to state playoffs every season. Rhaia Davey helped lead the team to a 35-6 record and was voted LVCA Division III MVP, All-Metro Small Schools MVP, and Division II title-game MVP. She has also been named to the All-District, All-Metro, All-State, and Academic All-State teams, and she plans to play at the collegiate level at Mississippi College.
