BREC’s Largest Swim Lesson

Learning to swim is a crucial part of a child’s life. Living in Louisiana near so many waterways makes it especially important to learn to swim. According to the Red Cross, drowning is the second leading cause of unintended, injury-related death in children ages 1-14. In order to build awareness of the importance of children learning to swim to prevent drowning, BREC created the Largest Swim Lesson event. This year, the free event will be held on Friday, June 30 at BREC’s Liberty Lagoon from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Participants will need to register in order to attend. libertylagoon.com
