Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival Returning for Sixth Year

Food is a huge part of southern culture and what says love more than soul food? Henry Turner Jr’s Listening Room Heritage Museum is putting on the annual festival to celebrate all things Louisiana. The festival will feature performances from several singers, bands, and artists to wow the crowd while the Soul Food Cooking Competition gives cooks of all talents and skill levels a chance to have their regional favorites judged. The festival itself will span May 20-21 and will be hosted at the Riverfront Plaza and City Dock next to the USS Kidd. brsoulfoodfest.com
