Free Summer Sports and Skills Clinics!

Beginning on June 1, 2021, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will offer free summer sports and skills clinics to EBRPSS students in PreK – 8th grade throughout the summer. The district will host seven weeks of clinics from June 1 – July 15. Each clinic will be held from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.

During the clinics, students will be provided free breakfast, lunch, literacy tutoring sessions, and the skills and gameplay activities. EBRPSS students must attend the morning tutoring sessions in order to participate in the skills clinic. The following sports will be offered throughout the summer: Flag football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and track and field.

“We are pleased to be able to offer these free programs to our families to help promote physical activity, team building and motivated learners,” said Lynn Williamson, EBRPSS Director of Student Activities. “This is an excellent opportunity to keep our students engaged over the summer, develop great skills and techniques, and most important - have fun!”  The type of sport clinic offered will change throughout the summer.
