Experience an Out-of-Town Adventure at Margaritaville Lake Resort

If you’re looking for a family-friendly place to bring the kids for an out-town-adventure, Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston is just the place.

Located a few miles north of the Greater Houston area, the resort is the perfect place for a fun and relaxing vacation. Whether you choose to drive or jump on a plane, you’ll quickly find yourself in paradise with an array of activities the whole family will enjoy.

“Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston truly has something for everyone,” said Lisa Fasbender, general manager. “From renting a boat and taking a spin around Lake Conroe to splashing around the waterpark, the resort offers the ideal backdrop for creating fun and lasting memories.”

Accommodations at Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston work well for families of any size. Whether you choose to stay in one of the suites in the guest tower or a colorful lakeside cottage, there are separate living and bedroom quarters which are also furnished with a pull-out sofa bed. Some of the lakeside cottages include loft areas, great for families with young children.

Kids and adults alike will have a blast at Jolly Mon, the three-acre water park, which includes a lazy river, splash zone, waterslides, hot tub, and five pools. After cooling off in the pools, take in some mini golf, play pickleball, or treat the kids at Fin City Arcade. Dads wanting to chill out can schedule a tee time at the 18-hole golf course while moms relax and unwind with a massage, facial, or pedicure at 18,000 square-foot St. Somewhere Spa.

When it’s time to eat, there are plenty of options onsite, including LandShark Bar & Grill, which serves a variety of favorites, including fish tacos, chicken tenders, burgers, and more. Enjoy live entertainment, watch the sunset over the lake, and then have s’mores as a family by the beach.

License to Chill Bar & Café offers a variety of salads, sandwiches, and an enormous giant pretzel that the kids will love. The eatery also serves brunch on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where everyone in your family will find something tasty to savor.

If you need something in a hurry, Joe Merchant's Coffee & Provisions on the first floor of the guest tower offers pizza, sandwiches, Starbucks™ Coffee and other delicious "grab and go options."

Everything you need for a family vacation is within reach at the resort, but if you want to explore the local area a bit while you’re in town, there are plenty of attractions, including:

  • Huntsville State Park
  • Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary
  • Waterpoint Marina

If you choose to take a short plane trip, the resort is 45 minutes north of Intercontinental Airport. Should you decide to drive, take I-10 west towards Houston to I-45 North past The Woodlands. The resort is located at 600 Margaritaville Parkway in Montgomery.
