A Parade for Four-Legged Friends

Tails will be wagging at The Mystic Krewe of Mutts, the annual parade hosted by the Capital Area Animal Welfare Society (CAAWS), on Sunday, January 28, in downtown Baton Rouge. The four-legged fun day kicks off with Bark in the Park at 10 a.m. in North Boulevard Town Square, which will feature several dog-friendly vendors with fun treats. From 11 a.m. until noon, the Baton Rouge Police Department will take stage with their K-9 companions for a demonstration on the Galvez Plaza stage. Then, at 1 p.m., pets will take center stage, as they line up to win prizes for the Dog Costume Contest!  Finally, parade lineup begins at 1:30 p.m., and the parade will roll at 2 p.m., starting along North Boulevard. caaws.org
