2024 One Book One Community Pick

Join the East Baton Rouge Parish Library to celebrate the 18th annual One Book One Community reading. Explore the past through 4,000 years of recipes; from Babylon, circa 1740 B.C., all the way to the 20th century U.S.A. Tasting History is a book for food lovers and history buffs alike. Author Max Miller tells the story of food, from ancient Rome to Ming China to medieval Europe and beyond. These best-loved recipes are now available to make and share with loved ones. Miller has created a book compiled of over sixty dishes for readers to admire and make! It all begins with a Kickoff Party for the whole family on Friday, March 8, 5-7 p.m., at the EBR Main Library–featuring live music, free food, and children’s activities. The six-week celebration will end with a special presentation by Max Miller at the Main Library on Goodwood in April. ebrpl.com
